The Golden Gate Bridge

A suspension bridge across the Golden Gate strait, joining San Francisco to Marin County with a main span of 1,280 m. When it opened in 1937 no suspension bridge was longer or taller. Its architect, Irving Morrow, gave the towers their Art Deco lines and chose the orange paint.
