Potosí silver road

Silver from the Potosí mines went by mule over the Andes to Arica, by ship to Callao and on to Panama, then by mule train across the isthmus to Nombre de Dios, later Portobelo, where the treasure fleet loaded it for Spain. European goods went back the same way.
